Human Resources Certification Preparation for PHR/SPHR

Course Length:  6-days


The PHR/SPHR exam will be revised August 1, 2018. Exam preparation should be using the 2018 PHR/SPHR Exam Content Outline.


Course Description

The Professional in Human Resources (PHR) is an industry certification for people working in the HR management profession.  The certification awarded by the Human Resource Certification Institute (HRCI) demonstrates the theoretical knowledge and practical experience in HR management focusing on program implementation, plus tactical and logistical orientation. Individuals with this certification are normally accountable to the Senior Professional Human Resources (SPHR) within the organization.  They normally have responsibilities within HR Department rather that the entire organization.  The SPHR is the senior-most human resources certification for those who have also demonstrated a strategic mastery of the HR body of knowledge (HRBOK).

In 2014 SHRM (Society for Human Resource Management) and HRCI (Human Resource Certification Institute) split, with HRCI continuing to offer the PHR and SPHR certifications.  SHRM will be offering their new SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP™) and SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM SCP™).

CCT’s six-day certification class will continue to map to the original HRCI PHR and SPHR.
